Low Pin Count USB Microcontroller Development Kit The Microchip Low Pin Count USB Development Kit is a platform with which the functionality of the PIC16F145x family of USB Microcontrollers can be evaluated. 20-pin PIC18F14K50 and PIC18F13K50 USB MCUs are also supported.The board is supplied with a PIC16F1459 pre-programmed with demonstration firmware. This in combination with the Microchip Libraries for Applications software (MLA) provides a quick and easy method to get a working USB MCU demonstration up and running. The PIC16F1459 can be re-programmed with user-designed firmware as desired.For the development of new designs the board provides basic hardware to get started with, including In-Circuit Serial Programming headers for easy access to the MCU. Prototyping areas and unpopulated device footprints make the board simple to customise during development.
