CAD drawing DXF Description SKF-Bearing 7308 BECBM Some programs use bearing loads from changing directions and accept just restricted play or "slop" as the applied load changes. One source of movement is differences or "play" in the bearing. For instance, a 10 millimeter shaft in a 12 mm hole has 2 millimeters play. Play that is allowable fluctuates considerably according to the use. As example, axial and radial loads are supported by a wheelbarrow wheel. A second source of movement is in the bearing. For instance, the spheres in a ball bearing are like rubber that is stiff, and under load deform from round into a somewhat flattened shape. There are fluid bearings supporting high loads in hydroelectric plants which reveal no signs of wear and which have been in almost constant service.
