Compact, easy-to-use and capable of testing RCDs for correct implementation, this small-size instrument is perfect for use by any professional electrician and is an affordable alternative to higher-specification testers. The unit features an automatic testing mode which will cycle gradually through six testing procedures and simply requires the user to reset the RCD each time it trips out. A built-in ramp testing procedure can also gradually apply different levels of test current until the RCD trips and makes it easy to determine whether the residual current device is installed correctly. A full-socket tester is built into the KTD50 and it can verify up to eighteen different socket conditions to ensure correct wiring configurations.
