Crystal Quest Dual Tank Water Softener and Whole House Filter System, 1.5 cu.ft. Dual Tank Water Softener and a Whole House Filter System with Automatic Backwash. Will remove calcium and hardness and soften water. Crystal Quest Water Softener uses traditional salt or potassium for regeneration. A Fleck control valve will backwash the system for improved performance. Water travels through 6 stages of filtration: First stage, water flows through a 20 sediment cartridge that removes sediment, silt, sand and dirt. Also extends the life of water softeners and water filters, and prevents damage to control valves. Second stage, water flows through an ion exchange mineral tank and brine water conditioner. Third, Fourth and Fifth Stage: water flows through a patented Eagle Redox ( KDF ) media ERA-9500, ERA-6500, and a GAC (Granular Activated Carbon) mineral tank which removes hundreds of contaminations. Sixth stage water flows through a 20 solid carbon cartridge for removing volatile organic carbon compounds (VOC's), insecticides, pesticides and industrial solvents.
