Supplies are limited and subject to prior sale ASCII INTERFACE About the Manufacturer The heart and soul of the Cincinnati brand is innovation, particularly when it comes to milling machines. Founded in 1889 by Frederick V. Geier and Fred Holz in Cincinnati, Ohio, the Cincinnati Milling Machine Company is one of the leading names in the American machine tool market with an impressive history. Fueled by the rapidly growing machine tool industry in late 1800s and World War 2, Cincinnati were able to become the largest machine tool manufacturer in the world. A feature in the 1916 publication “A treatise on milling and milling machines”, demonstrated the scale of the operation. The entire plant, exclusive of the power plant, was 350,000 square feet making it the largest plant in the world devoted exclusively to the manufacture of milling machines and milling cutter grinder. In the 1970s, Cincinatti became heavily involved in robotics for the automotive industry and plastic injection moulding machinery. This was after they had changed their name to Cincinnati Milacron - the Cincinnati part of the name alluding to their machine tool expertise and Milacron meaning high precision. Fast forward to the 80s and automation started to become more prevalent on the milling machines and Northern Industrial became involved. At first we started repairing simple Acramatic printed circuit boards for local manufacturers but quickly became involved in repairing industrial CRT monitors and basic drive systems. Today, we repair a wide range of automation parts found on Cincinnati machine tools including axis drives, touchscreen monitors and control equipment such as the Control Techniques CNC controllers.
