ANALOG DEVICES
The EVAL-CN0160-EB1Z is an circuits from the lab engineered tested. Ready to integrate universal serial bus (USB) cable isolator circuit (CN0160). The isolator components used in the circuit are ADUM4160 and ADP3338. ADUM4160 is an full/low speed USB digital isolator and ADP3338 is an high accuracy ultralow quiescent current, 1A, anyCAP dropout regulator. Power for the upstream USB connector is derived from the 5V VBUS voltage available on the USB cable. The peripheral device must provide all of the signals and pull-up or pull-down resistors that would be required if the ADuM4160 were not present. The downstream side power is provided by a wall wart and an ADP3338 LDO regulator (5V option). This LDO provides very low dropout voltage, thereby reducing the regulation requirements on the wall wart.
