MA330031 is a Internal Op amp motor control plug in module (PIM). This plug in module is designed to demonstrate the capabilities of the dsPIC33EP256MC506 motor control device using internal op amps with development boards, such as the dsPICDEM MCLV-2 development board (DM330021-2) and the dsPICDEM MCHV-2 development board (DM330023-2), which support 100 pin PIM interfaces. The dsPIC33EP256MC506 is a high performance, 16bit digital signal controller (DSC) in a 64 pin TQFP package. This device is equipped with three internal op amp/comparators and one dedicated analog comparator. To operate this PIM with the dsPICDEM MCLV-2 and dsPICDEM MCHV-2 development boards, please insert the Internal op amp configuration board into the header, J4 (for the dsPICDEM MCHV-2 development board) or header, J14 (for the dsPICDEM MCLV-2 development board). This PIM can be used to evaluate the dsPIC33EPxxxMC50x, dsPIC33EPxxxMC20x, and PIC24EPxxxMC20x devices. Peripheral trigger generator (PTG) for scheduling complex sequences Modified Harvard architecture Two 40bit accumulators with rounding and saturation options Single cycle shifts for up to 40bit data Single cycle multiply and accumulate 24bit wide instructions 16x16 fractional multiply/divide operations Up to three PWM pairs with independent timing Programmable fault inputs Flexible trigger configurations for ADC conversions Do not connect non isolated oscilloscope probes to this PIM while using it with dsPICDEM MCHV-2. Use a high voltage differential probe. Failure to heed this warning could result in hardware damage. This PIM can not be used with original MCHV [DM330023] or MCLV [DM330021] development boards. Use the external op amp PIM [MA330031-2] to use the dsPIC33EP256MC506 with original MCHV or MCLV boards.
