The EX850 from Extech Instruments is a true RMS 1000A AC/DC clamp meter with Bluetooth feature. It transmits key electrical readings to Android mobile devices. The EX850 measures AC/DC current and voltage, resistance, capacitance, frequency, IR temperature, inrush and continuity. This clamp meter has a 1.7" jaw opening for conductors up to 750MCM or two 500MCM. It also has a 4000 count backlit LCD display, auto ranging and manual ranging button as well as data hold, minimum, maximum and auto power off functions. This product has a CE, CAT IV 600V and CAT III 1000V safety rating. The EX850 works with free Android app to display large, easy to read values for AC/DC voltage, AC/DC current, capacitance, resistance, frequency, diode test and temperature (type-K & infrared), up to 10m away. CAT IV 600V safety rating is provided for added protection. A built-in IR thermometer with laser pointer is an excellent trouble shooter for locating hot spots and overheating motors. Non-contact IR thermometer design with laser pointer true RMS current and voltage measurements Peak hold captures inrush currents and transients 0.1A to 1000A AC/DC current (±2.8% resolution) and 0.1ohm to 40Mohm resistance 0.1mV to 1000V AC/DC voltage (±1.5% AC, ±2.8% DC resolution) and 0.001nF to 40,000μF capacitance Frequency range from 0.001KHz to 4KHz and IR temperature range from -58 to 518°F (-50 to 270VC) Type K temperature range from -4°F to 1400°F (-20 to 760°C) Dimension is 270mm x 110mm x 50mm and weight is 386g Use great care when making measurements if the voltages are greater than 25VAC rms or 35VDC. These voltages are considered a shock hazard. Do not apply voltage to meter when resistance function is selected.
