The TPS23754EVM-383 is a 33V to 57VVin, 12V Vout high power evaluation module for TPS23754 device, The TPS23754 is a combined power over ethernet, powered device (PD) interface and current mode dc/dc controller optimised specifically for isolated converters. The power over ethernet interface supports the IEEE 802.3at standard. The TPS23754 supports a number of input voltage ORing options including highest voltage, external adapter preference, and power over ethernet preference. These features allow the designer to determine which power source will carry the load under all conditions. The power over ethernet interface features the new extended hardware classification necessary for compatibility with high power midspan power sourcing equipment (PSE) per IEEE 802.3at. The detection signature pin can also be used to force power from the power over ethernet source off. Classification can be programmed to any of the defined types with a single resistor. Efficient, general market design Self driven, synchronous rectified secondary 25W output power from power over ethernet, 30W output power from a 48V adapter Operates from either power over ethernet or external adaptors 24V and 48V 5V output voltage Enhanced classification per IEEE 802.3at with status flag This EVM should be operated within the input voltage range of 0V to 57V and the output voltage range of 4V to 6V. Exceeding the specified input voltage range may cause damage to the EVM.
