Screw-on screw connection G 1/4"-12 x 10mm, PA Principle 1
Materials: PA (polyamide), PP (polypropylene), PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride), PFA (PTFE) Field of application and general resistance to chemical attack PA: used in pneumatics as well as for water. The chemical resistance is good against petrol, diesel, heating oil and alkalis. PP: Resistant to aqueous solutions of acids, alkalis and salts, as well as a large number of organic solvents. Not suitable for concentrated oxidising acids. PVDF: Resistant to acids, salt solutions, aliphatic, aromatic and chlorinated hydrocarbons, alcohols and halogens. Conditionally suitable for ketones, esters, ethers, organic bases and alkali solutions. PFA: Resistant to almost all chemicals. Operating temperature: PA: up to max. +80°C, PP: up to max. +90°C, PVDF: -40°C up to max. +140°C, PFA: up to max. +250°C PN (at +20°C): 10 bar Connection principle "1" for hoses (not for PTFE hoses): PA, PP, PVDF: •the hose is pushed over the hose screw connection into the screw connection and locked using an elastic compression ring by tightening the knurled nut. •the elastic compression ring permits the same screw connection to be used multiple times. This means that the screw connection can be loosened and, using the same compression ring, re-tightened and sealed. •all threads and hose screw connections (for hose connections) are seamless. Connection principle "2" for hoses (also for PTFE hoses): PFA: •the hose is pushed over the hose screw connection into the screw connection and locked using a cutting sealing ring combination by tightening the knurled nut. •all threads and hose screw connections (for hose connections) are seamless. *for PFA and PTFE hoses we recommend swapping the compression ring with a cutting and gasket combination (KL..PP), **knurled nuts and compression rings in PP, ***base material has FDA approval All data are to be understood as non-binding reference values!
