Bubble viscometer kit with certificate, 0.50 to 5.50 stokes
A quick, simple method for determining kinematic viscosity The rising bubble technique used in these new viscometer kits is a convenient, visual and easy-to-learn method for measuring kinematic viscosity. The time required for an air bubble to rise in a liquid is directly proportional to the viscosity of the liquid. These kits allow you to compare the bubble rate rise of your sample to that of samples in standard tubes with known viscosities—the faster the bubble rises, the lower the viscosity. Viscosity of the liquid sealed in each standard tube is permanently stable ensuring accurate measurements. Each kit includes a set of standard tubes, two calibrated empty sample tubes, and a convenient storage case. NIST-traceable kits are available with a certificate verifying traceablilty to NIST standards. Replacement standard tubes are also available; call our Application Specialists for more information.
