Protector XStream High-Performance Lab Hood, 5', Two Services and Duplex, 115V, 60Hz
Lab safety that saves energy and money Lowest CFM requirement per corresponding face velocity (fpm) on the market Low flow velocities mean less energy waste Labconco Protector XStream Hoods are built for highest performance allowing them to operate at velocities as low as 60 fpm (minimum allowable face velocity per industry standards) while maintaining containment. Design negates the effects of air turbulence, vortexing, and interior air “roll.” Containment features include: Clean-Sweep™ sash track and sash handle that directs airflow into the hood; Eco-Foil™ air foil that corrects natural turbulence while keeping cords out of the way; and Opti-Zone™ baffle system with a unique slot pattern that balances face velocity so that less overall volume is required. The XStream passed strict containment testing, far exceeding industry standards. Return on investment with the XStream comes not only through the savings realized by running a safe lab and purchasing durable equipment, but also through reduced operating expense. The true measure of fume hood energy consumption and operating expense is its total required volumetric rate (CFM). XStream’s low flow velocities mean less energy waste from hood air exhaust, but more importantly, it has the lowest CFM requirement per corresponding face velocity (fpm) on the market. Large energy savings are realized when comparing the XStream operating at 60 fpm to a more traditional hood at 100 fpm. Hood features a large unobstructed sightline — 37.5” from work surface to header panel — and provides unobstructed viewing into the hood. Other features include dry powder-coated steel exterior, chemically resistant composition panel liner, pre-set rear downflow dual baffle, safety glass sash, pre-wired T8 fluorescent lighting, sash stop located at 18” sash opening position, and 12.81” ID exhaust connection(s). 115V models are ETL listed. Work surfaces are black solid epoxy resin (sold separately). Also order blower, cabinet and accessories separately.
