Ceramic ball bearings are twice as strong as conventional stainless steel ball bearings, extending the life of the flowmeter Easily remove in-line meters and ensure correct placement for optimum performance with the optional installation kits The hybrid ceramic ball bearings in all Hoffer turbine flowmeters stand up to a variety of corrosive solutions that cause standard stainless steel ball bearings to quickly fail. The ceramic bearings are immune to adhesive welding, steel-on-steel wear, and other factors that contribute to the failure of stainless steel ball bearings. Hoffer turbine flowmeters provide high accuracy in a wide variety of flow rates. Choose from models with an integral battery powered display or with a 4 to 20 mA output and DC input power. DC Powered Flowmeters with 4 to 20 mA are ideal for recording flow information and display both rate and total. Requires user-supplied 8.5 to 30 VDC input power. Flowmeters with Battery-Powered Rate Indicator/Totalizer Display simultaneously show both rate and total readings. Each display features a NEMA 4X housing and includes lithium battery pack. For optimum performance of all turbine flowmeters it is recommended that you purchase the correct installation kit. Installation kits for the flared models have NPT(M) x flared connections and sanitary models have Tri-Clamp®x Tri-Clamp connections. To achieve the highest accuracy you need to have a minimum of ten pipe diameters upstream of the flowmeter and a minimum of five pipe diameters downstream of the flowmeter. Installation kits ensure that the flowmeter is properly placed in the line and facilitate the installation and removal of the flowmeter.
