Cole-Parmer Handheld Doppler Flowmeter, 0.30 to 30 ft/sec
Measure flow velocities in pipe sizes from 1" up to 60" in diameter Measure flow velocity almost anywhere with this handheld doppler flowmeter. It is compact, lightweight, and battery-powered making it ideal for portable applications. Use this noninvasive flowmeter where slurries and dirty fluids are present—such as in process, construction, mining, food, and sewage/water treatment industries. Install sensor outside of pipes with diameters ranging from 1" to 60". View flow velocity in feet/sec or m/sec (switch selectable) on a 4-digit LCD. Flowmeter includes a case, sensor with 6-ft cable, tube of transducer couplant, and four AA batteries. Not recommended for use with transit (clay), cast iron, concrete, or fiberglass pipes. Hot Tips: Use the following formulas to convert velocity into flow units: GPM = 2.45x(ID in inches)^2 x (velocity in ft/sec) L/sec = 0.08 x (ID in cm)^2 x (velocity in m/sec)
