Prevent hot spots with even heat transfer to samples Safely heat materials without dangerous oils Faster heating than competitive models Works with any leading brand of round-top hotplate Use these solid aluminum blocks for synthesizing products in any vessel from 16 mm test tubes to 5 liter round bottom flasks. Designed with the safety of the user in mind, these units do not require hot oil for use. Each well has been designed to prevent craking of glassware while in use. The optional safety handles attach quickly and allow the well to be removed safely, even while the unit is still hot. Aluminum construction allows for even heat distribution and prevents hot spots, making sure that the product is heated uniformly. Blocks heat up and cool down faster due to the reduced mass of the block. Deeper wells allow for more surface area of the vessel, making heating and temperature maintenence easier. The multi-well block can hold one or two inserts to hold flasks or tubes. Flask inserts are available in 10, 25, 50, 100, and 150 mL sizes; test tube inserts are available in 16, 20, or 24 mm sizes. Inserts are designed to accept two and three neck flasks as well. Blocks are available with two finishes, fluoropolymer coated or anodized. Fluoropolymer coating is resistant to most solvents, acids, and bases — provides longer life and easier clean-up. The anodized finish is a less expensive alternative.
