The heavy, water-resistant YF-weight cloth backing supports high-pressure applications, works well on heat-sensitive metals, and can be used in wet or dry applications. 3M(TM) Cloth Belt 777F features an abrasive that is resin-bonded to the backing to maintain durability under high heat and pressure. This belt is recommended for use on stainless steel or other exotic metal alloys for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and finishing castings and forgings. 3M(TM) ceramic abrasive grain is a ceramic mineral designed using a proprietary process to enhance toughness and hardness of the grain. For increased performance, 3M(TM) Cloth Portable Belt 777F features aluminum oxide blended with 3M(TM) Ceramic Abrasive Grain for a harder, longer-lasting abrasive. Perfect for moderate to heavy stock removal, ceramic abrasives are engineered to cut fast and handle intense heat and stress applications. Ceramic/aluminum oxide blend surpasses aluminum oxide abrasives in cut-rate and durability and makes the 777F belt an excellent choice for moderate stock removal and surface preparation.
