TE Connectivity GRACE INERTIA 6.0mm Crimp Housing GRACE INERTIA 6.0 mm wire to board plug style cable mount crimp housings with a current rating of up to 10A maximum. The space saving 6.0 mm centreline allows these GRACE INERTIA plug housings to deliver medium power, mid-range connections in a compact design. The GRACE INERTIA connectors prevent the receptacle and the header contacts making contact when improper mating is attempted for error resistant mating and reliable connections. The main feature of these GRACE INERTIA connectors is an inertia locking mechanism built into the connector housing which prevents half mating. When the plug housing is inserted into the header a spring latch in the plug housing makes contact with the header. The mating halves of the connector are driven together as insertion continues and the spring latch inertia is overcome by the assembler resulting in full mating. When the housing and header are latched an audible 'click' is produced to confirm mating and the latch locks the two securely together. The inertia locking mechanism also prevents unmating by external force providing a reliable connection when the connector is in use.
