ZCAT Series Snap Fixing Cable Ferrites ZCAT Series clamp filters for cable applications are constructed from a unique plastic case to ensure simple, convenient installation. They feature a self-holding mechanism to prevent slippage on cables. ZCAT Series has a ferrite core which provides excellent absorption of high-frequency EMC. They are highly effective as a countermeasure against common mode EMC without adverse effect on signal quality, and have a large core size which prevents saturation during large signal surges. Applications for the ZCAT series include: • Personal computers• Word processors• Monitors• Hard disk drives• Digital telephones• Audio devices• Electronic musical instruments• Video games• Copiers• Facsimiles Split Ferrite Rings These split ferrite cores reduce the electromagnetic interference from being induced in or radiated from data and power cables. High attenuation ratings are achieved with the housing design and the special process steps during the ferrite manufacture. The special snap lock makes the ferrite sleeve suitable for use with a variety of cable diameters and once the split ferrite is locked it cannot be opened accidentally.The outer housing is designed to protect the halves of the core from breakage and ensures simple assembly on to cables that are already installed or which have been fitted with connectors. Fixing to the cable with glue or cable tie is optional.
