Kestrel 4400 Heat Stress Meter This Kestrel 4400 comes in an orange case and is of revolutionary size, cost and capability in measuring heat stress. For composite heat stress prediction tools Wet Bulb Global Temperature (WBGT) and Thermal Work Limit (TWL), the Kestrel 4400 provides on-screen alarms when conditions enter the caution and danger zones - providing clear and immediate guidance that heat illness prevention steps must be taken. Clothing levels can be customised, making the Kestrel 4400 particularly useful in activities requiring the use of heavy protective gear which increases heat stress. The Kestrel 4400 also displays natural wet bulb temperature and black globe temperature - the 4400 has a 1 inch (25.4 mm) black globe, containing a temperature sensor, to gather information about the environment. Users include athletes and their trainers, military training units, medics, industrial hygienists, construction supervisors and anybody involved in working in extreme heat conditions.
