Backstop, Reducer Size PT24207, For Use With 14A713, 14A714, 14A715, Restrictions Note: Backstops are not recommended for applications involving energy absorption and shock or torque loads in excess of reducer ratings, or on applications such as chair lifts, amusement rides, etc. where the safety of a person or property is dependent on their function. On such applications, other safety devices should be provided. Backstops are designed to prevent rotation not more than 5 times in an 8-hr. period, with a minimum of 1 min. in the overrunning direction between each engagement. PowerTorque Indirect-Drive Parallel Hollow-Shaft Speed Reducers High-strength ductile-iron housing, with hardened and machined high-strength alloy steel input shaft. A bushing kit is required to mount reducers to the driven shaft. Motor mount kit is required to install a base-mount motor to the reducer. Precision-ground AGMA Class 11 helical gearing Metal-reinforced double-lipped seals Tapered roller bearings Dimensionally interchangeable with major brands Backstop Kits Use for applications that require the prevention of reverse rotation. Install quickly on input shaft. Lubricated by internal gear lubricant. Can be operated in either direction.
