The priming ability allows the pumps to handle applications difficult for standard centrifugal pumps. Such applications include pumping fluid from below grade, emptying tanker trucks or rail cars, and transferring fluids from the top of tall bulk storage tanks to reduce the possibility of leaks from sidewall-mounted bulkhead fittings. Pumps offer many updated features which improve performance. The volute and impeller design allow for a high efficiency—this results in a reduction in energy usage, especially when compared to other established pump technologies. As a result of the high working pressure, high specific gravity fluids can be safely pumped. Another benefit is the protection against unexpected surges in system pressure. The standard NPT or BSP connections allow for easy installation. The wetted materials of construction were chosen and engineered for aggressive liquids. These Cole-Parmer self-priming pumps feature a five-year warranty. Note: Some models are available with or without motor. See table below for details.
