Pump viscous fluids or maintain process fluid temperatures with temperature-controlled pump head Operating temperature up to 350°F Handle pressures up to 100 psig Wetted materials of ceramic, PTFE, and 316 SS Suitable for applications to maintain process fluid temperatures or pump viscous solutions (such as waxes, pastes or cosmetics). Run wash fluids, gases or steam through gland ports to provide a barrier between process fluids and the seal area (atmosphere). Using this barrier maintains temperatures and pressures required of slurries, particulates, crystal formers and anaerobics. Control and monitor the temperature of the pump head with a temperature panel meter (order power cord also), 2 standard cartridge heaters and thermocouple (order separately under accessories). To provide power to the pump head, order a drive under accessories.A metered pump comes in various styles including diaphragm pumps, gear pumps, peristaltic pumps and piston pumps. A metered pump can be used in a pilot plant, or for industrial, quality departments and OEM applications. A metered pump transfers media in two ways. It begins with the intake stroke where the inlet side of the pump is opened, the outlet side closed and liquid is pulled in to the pump cavity and ends when the outlet stroke where the inlet side of the pump is closed, the outlet side opened and liquid is forced out. A metered pump is used in applications where high accuracy dosing or movement of media is required, pumping needs to be controlled by computer, PLC, or flow proportioning, flow rates are GPH or less, high system pressure occurs or with high viscosity or slurry media.
