Upchurch Scientific Titanium Frits are an excellent biocompatible alternative to stainless steel. The frits have a PCTFE or PEEK polymer ring for enhanced sealing and most are sized to fit into Upchurch Scientific brand filter holders and guard columns. Available in 0.2 and 2 µm porosities. While all Upchurch Scientific Titanium Frits are capable of withstanding pressures >5, 000 psi (>345 bar), the actual pressure holding capacity of each frit is usually dependent on the filter body in which it is placed.
