MXD4 is a member of the MAD gene family . The MAD genes encode basic helix-loop-helix-leucine zipper proteins that heterodimerize with MAX protein, forming a transcriptional repression complex. The MAD proteins compete for MAX binding with MYC, which heterodimerizes with MAX forming a transcriptional activation complex. Studies in rodents suggest that the MAD genes are tumor suppressors and contribute to the regulation of cell growth in differentiating tissues. MXD4 antibody can be used for detection of MXD4 by ELISA at 1:12500. MXD4 antibody can be used for detection of MXD4 by western blot at 0.5 μg/mL, and HRP conjugated secondary antibody should be diluted 1:50, 000 - 100, 000. Antibody is purified by peptide affinity chromatography method. Antibody is lyophilized in PBS buffer with 2% sucrose. Add 50 μL of distilled water. Final antibody concentration is 1 mg/mL. Aliquot and store at -20°C or below. Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
