Thermoplastic material will not chip, crack, or scratch like fiberglass and resists deterioration even after repeated high-heat exposures. Contemporary-style helmets feature a low center of gravity with balanced 6-pt. nylon crown straps and crown pad for a more stable fit. Bullard Sure-Lock® ratchet headband adjusts easily with the turn of a knob. Additional adjustment points allow for a customized fit and interface with an SCBA. Ripstop Nomex® ear/neck protector and Nomex chinstrap with quick-release buckle and postman’s slide fastener. Absorbent cotton brow pad is fire resistant and removable.
