The simple design helps make it ideal for applications which do not require speed control, such as robotics, machine tools, material-handling systems, and power tools. It also features a totally enclosed nonventilated motor enclosure design, which helps resist contamination by preventing air from moving freely between the inside and outside of the frame. The design helps protect the motor from dampness and airborne particles. It resists overheating by radiating excess heat through its finned body design.
