Test relay protection systems and their current transformers together Current level maintained though test circuit resistance may rise due to heating Built-in timer to record protection relay operation Megger PCITS2000/2 2000 A Primary Injection Test Set Details Portable and reliable, the Megger PCITS2000/2 is used to test relay protection systems and current transformers simultaneously. To make transportation as simple as possible, the PCITS2000/2 has built-in wheels and a handle. A separate, handheld controller is also included to allow the operator to work closely to a relay while controlling testing. This primary injection tester has maximum output current of 2000A AC at line frequency, and half the rated output can be obtained at twice the voltage by adjusting the range switch. Alternatively, additional auxiliary voltage output of 250V, 2A AC or 125V, 2A AC can be used for testing voltage-operated relay coils of checking the magnetisation characteristics of current transformers. The controller is designed to automatically vary voltage and current output for ease of use. It also includes three built-in modes - Forward, Run-Back and Dual - which can be used to test different protective relays based on operating times.
