The S1016 is a Tilt Switch with ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) case, rugged construction, mercury contact and 0.52 round silicone rubber insulated cable/termination. This switch is insulated overall with PVC giving compact size and high structural strength. This switch operates when tilted from the horizontal position. The switch movement required to cause contact change (e.g. off to on) is called the differential angle. It is fully sealed to give maximum mechanical protection and minimise the ingress of dust and moisture. Fast switch action with no bounce High current switching capability for direct motor control 0.3Ω Maximum contact resistance -20 to 70°C Operating temperature range IP65 Protection rating This switch should not be opened as it contains mercury, a toxic substance.
