HFBR-1119TZ/2119TZ Series Fibre Optic Data Links The HFBR-1119TZ and HFBR-2119TZ series, from Analog Devices, are fibre optic transmitter and receiver data links. These high performance transmitter and receiver modules are designed for serial optical data communication applications specified at 266MBd for Fibre Channel applications or for general purpose fibre optic data link transmission.The HFBR-1119TZ transmitter uses a 1300nm surface emitting LED which is packaged in an optical subassembly. This LED is DC-coupled to a custom IC.The HFBR-2119TZ receiver contains a InGaAs PIN photodiode coupled to a custom silicon transimpedance preamplifier IC. This is then AC-coupled to a custom quantiser IC which provides the final pulse shaping for the logic output and the Signal Detect function.Suitable applications include; fibre channel interfaces, multimode fibre optic links (up to 266MBd at 1500m) and general purpose point-to-point data communications.
